My journey began when I was born with leukemia. I was diagnosed with ALL at 2 weeks old and had only weeks to live. There was no doctor that could save me and just when all hope was lost, I was saved by something else, something that I have extensively researched with initial evidence that it could be the cure for leukemia we’ve all been waiting for.

I was born into a traditional Taiwanese family, in the city of Taipei, Taiwan. Within days after birth, I displayed many symptoms of the life-threatening cancer such as constant fever, pale skin, dark-red spots under the skin caused by bleeding, and the inability to ingest and retain milk. It was soon discovered that I had an abnormally high number of white blood cells and was subsequently diagnosed with leukemia, more specifically acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).

Due to the lack of advanced medical treatments for leukemia in the ‘80s, the doctor’s prognosis was very grim. Even with modern innovations, infants diagnosed with ALL within one month of birth have a 2-year survival rate of less than 20%. While I was under IV support, the doctor told my parents that, optimistically, I would only have weeks to live.

Devastated by the news, my father sought guidance of my grandmother who had always been known for various herbal remedies for various ailments. After my parents described my symptoms, my grandmother comforted them by promising my full recovery, acting as if I only had a common cold. To my grandmother, leukemia was not a cancer or even a mildly severe illness. To her, leukemia was just an ordinary sickness, diagnosed by specific symptoms, and easily treated by an herbal formula. My grandmother then instructed my father to slay a chicken from our farm while she proceeded to gather the other necessary ingredients from her garden, local market, and herbal shops to make the herbal soup remedy. My grandmother told my father to memorize the ingredients, measurements, and cooking process and instructed him to feed me the soup three times a day for a week. My father did as he was told.

Merely one week after taking the herbal remedy, my fever was gone, and I was able to ingest and retain milk. Ecstatic by the initial results, my father decided not to go through with the conventional treatments recommended by the doctor but continued with regular checkups as a precaution. After three weeks, all symptoms were completely gone as if I never had leukemia, and I seemed to have fully recovered. Astounded by my inexplicable recovery, the doctor refused to accept the soup as the explanation so he marked the recovery to be an “anomaly”. I’m now 32 years old with no signs of leukemia, having achieved complete remission, or more accurately – cured, by a mysterious remedy. I continued to drink the remedy once every few years as a dietary supplement until my adolescent life simply because my father told me to and without knowing why. He later told me this was just a precaution since there was no harm in drinking the remedy even if one was healthy.

Journey-4-2-1-2.jpg

I lived my life oblivious that I had survived leukemia until I was 17, which was when I finally asked my father why I had to drink the remedy and he finally shared with me the story of how I beat leukemia with my grandma’s remedy. It was hard to believe that I had had cancer, let alone the nature in which I beat it. From what I could remember of my childhood, I was relatively healthy; I don’t remember even catching a cold. Naturally, I was not completely convinced, but I knew the profound importance of the remedy for the future of science and healthcare if the story were to be true. I went on and graduated college with a BA in biology and the science requisites for medical school because I knew, in order to convince myself and others of the validity of the remedy, I had to prove its efficacy through data-driven evidence as homeopathic remedies have long been regarded as spiritual or primitive and not evidence-based, at least in western society.

Journey-5-1-3-2.jpg

While I was in college learning the foundations of the sciences, I witnessed my father use the all-natural remedy to help 5 out of 5 leukemia sufferers, of various types and stages of leukemia, reach remission. At this point, any remaining doubt of the remedy’s efficacy was gone, and this was when my life’s purpose became clear – I knew I had to prove its’ efficacy with data, share it with others, and erase leukemia for good. Although I was now convinced and recognized that the remedy may hold the key for curing cancer and wanted to immediately use the remedy to help others suffering from leukemia, the problem remained that people will naturally be skeptical. Further, the intrinsic risks of sharing it with others also needed to be carefully considered. Even though the remedy is all-natural, has no observed side-effects, and even healthy people could drink it as a dietary supplement, it would still be irresponsible and risky to attempt to help others before having a clear scientific understanding of the remedy itself. My father also warned me of these concerns and instructed me not to share our story because society often ridiculed non-FDA approved homeopathic remedies due to lack of validity or scientific support as well as the potential risks due to our lack of expertise and credibility.

Only recently have people become more open to alternative medicine. Although my father also had the heart and intention of helping other leukemia sufferers, he was, unfortunately, prohibited by insufficient education and the lack of technological know-how and has been unable to facilitate the scientific research required to unlock the properties of the herbal remedy himself. Fortunately, my father provided me with the education needed to be able to continue where he left off. Being fluent in both Chinese and English and graduating college with a solid foundation in the sciences and access to vast number of published scientific research reports and information available via the internet, I was able to learn and get a deeper understanding of the remedy and Chinese medicine in relation biology, immunology, and other sciences. I was then able to use that knowledge to collect data from successful volunteers, engage new volunteers, and analyze the data properly.

Journey-5-1-3-2.jpg

After a prolonged delay and various obstacles, I was able to prepare a small sum of capital and finally quit my job in order to dedicate myself to this mission completely. Almost immediately after, I received my first trial volunteer who was in the fourth stage of Biphenotypic Acute Leukemia. The volunteer agreed to commit solely to the remedy while still having the option to discontinue the remedy and choose other treatments as he saw fit. Ultimately, he waived all other conventional options, including low success rate chemotherapy treatments recommended by his doctor, because he saw rapid and consistent improvement in his condition via the remedy. He reached remission after 14 weeks. I provided him with the remedy, documented and analyzed his data, and guided him throughout the regimen while capturing the entire process on film for an on-going documentary film.

After further research, the volunteer’s data suggested that the remedy and the mixture of its ingredients and compounds could activate and harness the power of one’s immune system through one’s gastrointestinal microbiota, the foundation of human immunology, in a way that science is only beginning to discover. By narrowing down the plausible pathways in which the remedy could have achieved the results, the data suggests that the remedy activates gut memory immune cells related to our microbiota and, through various signaling pathways, allows the immune system to naturally produce stem cells and precisely identify, kill, and immunize our bodies against leukemia. I shared this initial research with oncologists and cancer-researching friends and received very promising feedback but also agreeing that there was still much science and data to be collected and proven. As the initial capital depleted and my credit maxed out, I obtained a small loan from family in order to complete the preliminary research. I also recruited a small team that shared my passion for this mission and began the necessary preparations to get the newly discovered data and the remedy to the people that need it most. We applied for and obtained the proper food and safety certifications through various food safety testings that were in accordance with FDA standards to ensure that the all-natural remedy is safe for consumption and contained no harmful substances. We also began sourcing the various unique ingredients of the remedy on a larger scale, purchased basic cooking and research equipment, obtained legal consultation, acquired videography equipment, and undertook other expenses related to setting up initial operations.

Journey-8-2-3-2.jpg

I have provided volunteers unlimited supply of the remedy free of charge and have paid out of pocket for research, clinical tests, food safety tests and labeling, equipment, other operating costs, and to setup the initial framework and process for prospective volunteers to safely benefit from the remedy. Now, our immediate priorities are to get the remedy to the ones in dire need, engage more volunteers to increase our sample size, and get this remedy into hospital-sponsored clinical trials, but funding and awareness is severely lacking.

This is where we need your help. Sharing our story goes a long way. It can get this information to leukemia sufferers that need an alternative option and encourage them to volunteer while also allowing the mission to get the attention needed to receive the funding and support necessary to help those volunteers.

JOIN OUR MISSION

I have no illusions about how outlandish my story may seem, and your initial reaction to my story may be of disbelief, shock, and/or skepticism. Your skepticism is completely understandable which is why I documented all possible details and data of volunteer's successful recovery for analysis and continue to search for other willing volunteers to try the remedy. This is all in order to garner the support needed to get the remedy to a hospital-sponsored trial and show people how natural, safe, and effective the herbal remedy truly is.

Now, many years after beating leukemia, I believe I have gained the knowledge and gathered the preliminary data necessary to finally share my story and begin helping more volunteers. But, I will need your help. I hope you can keep an open-mind and join our mission by volunteering, donating, or sharing our story -  volunteering to beat leukemia yourself and also help us collect more data, donating to give us the financial support needed to help more volunteers, and sharing our story to help us with both.
